Jennifer, a child of 12, studies violin. Her older sister, Sarah, studies cello.

Jennifer could be moved to tears playing her violin, but her responsivity fades away until she seems a stranger to such emotion... and seems like a stranger to Sarah.

Years later, pursuing a Masters degree in music, Sarah enrols at Durham University where she encounters a burgeoning virtuoso violinist: Vincent– a Byronic young melancholic man in possession of a surfeit of unsmiling wit. Vincent's fate becomes entangled with Jennifer's, and he suffers for it.

Jennifer has lived with a secret. A guilty secret. A maddening secret. A secret that numbed and isolated her. A secret she intends to take to her grave.

A Mystery to Me a feature film in development.
